Flat Meredith runs the Little Rock Marathon with Ross
Flat Meredith enjoying the sun & sand in Mexico
Flat Meredith made a trip to Cozumel, Mexico with Bob & Sue. Bob is one of the funniest people I have ever met in my life...and I know a lot of funny people. He put a snorkel, mask & fins on Flat Meredith. The real Meredith got a kick out of that...she learned how to snorkel last February at Discovery Cove and she kept it up all summer at the swimming pool. All the sun, sand & that beautiful blue ocean...makes us wish spring would hurry up and get here. Thanks for the great photos Bob & Sue!! Looks like you had a great time on your vacation!
Flat Meredith & Bob ready for a swim...that water looks nice!

I'm sure Bob included this one because the lab is located in Mission
Flat Meredith...a night out in Seattle, WA
Kristine took Flat Meredith along on a trip to Seattle, WA. The real Meredith was working on a state report for Washington state and Kristine really helped Meredith out by bringing back some nice postcards & keychains. Meredith used the postcards for her state visual project, she chose to do a scrapbook. And Meredith has an extensive keychain collection to which she added a Washington state keychain and a Seattle keychain. I'm happy to report that Meredith came home today and she received an A+ on her Washington scrapbook. So a big thanks to Kristine for the fun photos!!
Flat Meredith is out enjoying the nightlife...the real Meredith is all about the nightlife!!

aaahhhhh Paris in the spring time...ok almost spring
The real Meredith is very fascinated by Paris. Out of all the places in the world to travel...Paris is at the number one spot. Meredith is into fashion and she loves art & history...Paris has it all. So once again Ross hooked Meredith up with Flat Meredith photos in Paris. Ross has a son named Hunter. He's in Paris going to college to get more knowledge as Meredith with say. I'm sure he's getting even better at speaking French and eating lots of pastry...that's what I'd be doing anyway. So here are some wonderful photos of famous Paris landmarks courtesy of Hunter. A big thanks to Ross & Hunter for these photos-Meredith absolutely loved these!
This is Meredith's favorite! And as Hunter said...needs no explanation

Arc de Triomphe, aka Arch of Triumph
Invalides, a national war museum & final resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte

Another good photo of Invalides

Smaller arc built by Napoleon, in front of the Louvre, built by Napoleon to represent the original in Rome built by Constantine
In front of the Louvre Museum
The monument that stands at the center now is an obelisk stolen from Egypt by Napoleon. In the distance you can see the Eiffel Tower , the Grand Palais, and L'Assemblée Nationale which is the center of French government
This may be Place de la Concorde but don't quote me. Hunter sent great photos and I tried to keep everything straight but this one I'm not 100% on...this could be the place where they beheaded Marie Antoinette...even if I got this one confused...it's a great photo with some great architecture
Flat Meredith & Liz visit Seattle, WA
After Ross gave Flat Meredith to his friend Liz...she followed up her NY trip with a trip to Seattle & Flat Meredith tagged along. Liz snapped a couple of shots of Flat Meredith visiting two of Seattle's most popular tourist spots. Thanks for the great photos Liz!
Flat Meredith & the Space Needle...Flat Meredith sure looks tall
Flat Meredith at Pike's Market...watch out for those flying fish!
Flat Meredith & Ross @ Hoover Dam
I almost forgot...Flat Meredith's first trip to Hoover Dam was with Ross Capps & Pechnik. This may have been the first trip she actually went on with Ross...he went to Vegas to run a marathon. He took her to Hoover Dam & Lake Mead. I have to include these...he got some great shots of Flat Meredith...and we didn't take any of Lake Mead...good thing Ross was thinking, because we weren't. Ross has taken her on so many trips and taken so many great photos that I'm starting to get the dates confused. Meredith gets excited when Ross travels or hands a Flat Meredith off to one of his friends or family...she's having a lot of fun with this project...a big thanks to Ross.
Flat Meredith & the famous sign

Flat Meredith & Ross...good thing he took a photo...Ross rarely gets in these shots.

Flat Meredith @ Hoover Dam...NV & AZ in one day!
It's not every day you get to see a wonder like the Hoover Dam. And it's not every day you can be in two states at one stop. So we got some great photos of Flat Meredith at Hoover Dam...and knocked out another state while we were at it!
Flat Meredith in Arizona

and now she's in Nevada
hold on Flat Meredith...it's a loooong way down!
In front of the lucky statue...you're supposed to rub it's toes for good luck

The sign says it all
Flat Meredith meets Pete Rose
So Meredith and I were walking through The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. We walked by a store & there was Pete Rose signing autographs. I explained The Flat Meredith Project and they let Meredith go right up in front of Pete & take a couple of photos. Basically they made everyone buy something at the store & then they could get his autograph. But they were very accommodating and Meredith got a free pass for Flat Meredith. The crowd control guy was very nice and he knew all about Flat People projects and said they let kids take photos all the time with their Flat Person. Meredith knew Pete Rose played baseball but not much else. I told her this would mean more later in her life. So this was an added bonus for our Vegas trip and The Flat Meredith Project. I included both photos. The one at the bottom is a bit blurry (new camera and I'm still learning)...but Pete looks the happiest in that photo so I included it.
Viva Las Vegas!
We had a fun time in Vegas. The real Meredith wasn't too hip on the casinos...she doesn't like all the racket & smoke. I have to agree with her. So spent a lot of our time walking around and sightseeing during the day...Flat Meredith joined us. Here are a few photos from our Vegas sightseeing.
In front of the famous Vegas sign...that's the real Meredith, Flat Meredith & the real Meredith's mom (me)
From the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel & casino
Outside of the Luxor...that's as close as we got...once the real Meredith found out it was just another casino she wasn't getting any closer!

At the M&M store...this was a must see for the real Meredith

Hail Caesar & Flat Meredith!

Now this is where mom wanted to go...Bobby Flay's MESA Grill...we were enjoying a creamy tamale appetizer...Meredith said it tasted like it came from heaven...I have to agree!

Pawn Stars...As Seen on TV
Everyone but Rick was in the store that day and they were all very accommodating with Meredith & Flat Meredith. Meredith was dying to purchase something from the store. She ended up buying a 1900 silver dollar. After a couple of hours in the pawn store and getting her photos...she said it was one of the best days in her life. So thanks to the Pawn Stars for making Meredith's first trip to Vegas very memorable.
